Full-stack developer — Chiampo, VI, Italy
I'm Nicolò Rancan. I design, write, and ship complete web applications — database to the server that runs them, included.
Active services — 3 in production
Presale management for an annual event
Private platform for ticket presales for a party that happens every year: user accounts, tickets emailed automatically with a QR code, and scanning at the door on the day of the event.
Public site for the village of Durlo
Durlo is a small village in the Piccole Dolomiti, and the home of the Durlo Rocks event. This is its public-facing informational site — built on the same stack as the ticketing platform, but open to anyone.
One Piece catalog and player, rebuilt from scratch
The original streaming site had a clunky UX and an unreliable server. I replaced it: web scraping to rebuild the entire catalog (sagas and episodes) into my own database, progressive downloads to the filesystem, and a player with a completely redesigned interface.
Stack
I don't stop at application code: I design the database, write the API, containerize it, and configure the server that runs it in production.
About
I'm Nicolò Rancan, based in Chiampo, in the province of Vicenza, Italy. I'm a full-stack developer: I handle an application's entire lifecycle, from the first line of code to the server that keeps it online — nginx, SSL certificates, and containers included. I work fluently in both Italian and English. What I care about most is building tools that solve a real problem for someone, not portfolio filler.
